What made you choose to work for Nestlé Purina? What makes you stay at Nestlé Purina?

Obviously my love for pets but also the chance to sell a product that can better a pet's life and in some cases eliminate the use of medication by just using a therapeutic diet! What makes me stay ... all the same reasons but add the people!! I am fortunate enough to work with the most amazing and passionate people around. The "your pet, our passion" is not just a tag line ... it's what runs through the veins of everyone that we work with. Working for Nestlé Purina is like working for a family owned business within a large company.

What's your favorite or most rewarding part of working for Nestlé Purina?

Seeing how our diets change the lives of the pets and the owners. Hearing success stories of how Purina Veterinary Diets have improved and extended pets lives never gets old. Each story reminds me why we do what we do and love what we do!

How has Nestlé Purina helped you grow professionally?

NPPC does an amazing amount of training but not just to set you up for your present position but to prepare you for your future. There are so many resources that have helped prepare me to move up within the company as well as succeeding in the business world. They truly believe in growing their people and not too many places can say that.

Walk us through your typical day at the office.

Well in my roll there is no typical day ... or week. However the one thing that is typical is that I will be on a plane somewhere. I am typically on the road two to three days a week. Some weeks I am doing a ride along with one of our Vet Sales Consultants helping them in the field, some weeks I am working with our distributors, either at one of their meetings or working with them to plan how we are going to grow our business with them, other weeks I might be out having a meeting or event with one of our corporate accounts. That's what I love ... it's never the same day…or week…twice.

What's something about working with Nestlé Purina that has surprised you?

The culture! Every company wants you to think that they have a great corporate culture but at NPPC we truly do and seeing that really surprised me. As you meet the people within our company, and at any level, everyone shares the same goal, enriching the lives of pets. It truly is the most amazing place to work. If you ask around you will be shocked about how many people have been here 10, 20, 30 even 40 years ... that says it all. NPPC employees love what they do and who they work for.

What is the most exciting thing you are involved in outside of work?

Honestly, I am on the road so much that the most exciting thing I do outside of work and working out is spending time with my family. I am from one of those Italian families that are loud and crazy☺ ... I look forward to just hanging out at home with the ones I love, (including my doggies) ... might not sound exciting ... but meet my family!!

What items in your office could you not live without?

My aircard and headset for my phone.

What's your favorite place in Arizona to relax and unwind?

Well when I am not working I spend the rest of my time at the health club. I love practicing yoga, taking a spinning class or going for a run in the warm Arizona sun. There is no better way to unwind after a day's work.

What's the most thrilling vacation you ever took?

A 15 day Mediterranean cruise to Spain, France, Italy, Greece, and Turkey. Getting to see and experience so many amazing places.
