What made you choose to work for Nestlé Purina? What makes you stay at Nestlé Purina?

As soon as I interviewed, I knew that I wanted to work here because of the people and culture. I knew that the values, work ethics, and personalities within my department were a perfect fit for me. I also realized that working for such an organization would offer resources and support unlike many others.

What's your favorite or most rewarding part of working for Nestlé Purina?

I think that one of my favorite things about working for Nestlé Purina PetCare Company is that my life feels balanced.

Walk us through your typical day at the office.

There really is no such thing as a typical day. It seems that most days present new challenges, opportunities, and activities. I am in and out of the office quite a bit, and the constant change of scenery helps keep me motivated.

If you knew then, what you know now, what’s one piece of advice you would give to someone coming into the company?

I would tell them that the benefits of working here may not always be so obvious, as in a paycheck or benefits. The rewards for working here far exceed what you may expect to find.

What is the funniest experience you’ve had at work?

I once failed miserably while trying to jump over a pile of rocks in a mine. It was quite the display of grace and composure.

What is the most exciting thing you are involved in outside of work?

I’m trying to plan a wedding – it is definitely exciting and time consuming.

What’s your favorite place in St. Louis to relax and unwind?

I love Forest Park! There are so many choices of activities and the scenery is always spectacular.

If you weren't doing your current job, what would you be doing?

I would be cooking something, somewhere.

What’s the most thrilling vacation you ever took?

I went to South Africa and it was amazing! The people were warm and inviting. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The food was fresh and delicious, and there was an endless supply of Pinotage.

How has Nestlé Purina PetCare Company helped you grow personally?

It has reinforced my appreciation for teamwork and my patience has grown tremendously. I am grateful that these skills can benefit me, and those around me, at work and at home.
