What’s your favorite or most rewarding part of working for Nestlé Purina?

Every day brings a new set of challenges and I get to work with great people in the process.

How has Nestlé Purina helped you grow professionally?

I’ve been able to sharpen a lot of useful skills: project management, public speaking, people leadership, time management, conflict resolution, etc.

Walk us through your typical day at the office.

Honestly, there’s nothing even close to a "typical day." That’s probably why I like working here so much.

What are your long-term career goals at Nestlé Purina?

I’m hoping to continue to get the opportunity to impact the organization at a greater level than I am today. It’s a good feeling to know that you can be called upon to make a difference.

What is the funniest experience you’ve had at work?

Oh wow…I don’t think I can honestly come up with just one story here. If you asked my co-workers this, they would undoubtedly tell the tale of when my 3-year-old little girl decided to jump in the Koi pond on campus one afternoon and I had to go in after her.

What is the most exciting thing you are involved in outside of work?

With two small children just starting school, I’m now getting more involved than ever in soccer games, art camps, karate classes, swimming lessons. I have a great time just watching the kids get excited about these activities.

What’s your favorite place in St. Louis to relax and unwind?

Any of the music venues (Pageant, Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre). I love going to hear live music.

If you weren't doing your current job, what would you be doing?

I’d run my own business. I’m also thinking of writing a coffee table book about coffee tables.

What's one hidden skill or talent you have that would surprise your coworkers?

I can shake exactly two aspirin out of a bottle at a time.

Nestlé Purina PetCare Company does a great job of allowing employees to take the time necessary for personal growth and development, offering programs such as Servant Leadership and Human Performance Institute. When I talk with my friends outside of Nestlé Purina PetCare Company, they are constantly amazed at the amount of time that Nestlé Purina PetCare Company invests in its people.
